- Above Ross Lake - 22in x 24in
-
- In mid-July the Bighorn sheep are summering on the high mountain meadows in the Wind River Mountains. It is late morning, and the ewes have finished their early morning feeding and have rested for a couple of hours, and are now readying themselves to move on to other pastures. The lambs take this opportunity to nurse and scratch and touch one another. The location above Ross Lake is secure because the sheep can view in all directions and no threatening predators can approach.
